The Yorkshire Three Peaks

The Yorkshire Three Peaks

The challenge is simple .. Execution is a little harder

The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km),  includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually going counter clockwise  and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Some people can get around in less than eight hours whilst some others just want to get around all three in eleven hours and fifty nine minutes.  Whatever your timing or reason for doing this classic Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge one thing you can bet on is it will be memorable…..oh just to wet your appetite the world record is held by Jeff Norman who did this with a time of 2 hours 29 minutes and has held this record since 1974….OMG.

There are local hostels, B&B and other possible options including camping and of course you can just turn up on the day.

All the information including safety advice and the packing list will be sent out to you once you have signed up.

This is a prompt 07:00 start so please come at 6:30am for the admin and briefing.

Gift Life Adventures will record your time and issue you a certificate as part of the deal however if you want to officially record your time and get a certificate from the Yorkshire Dales National Park then we will help you with that too,   we will have forms on the day, there is a charge of £6 for recording and sending out certs from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, again we can talk you through that too.
